To the young mom I used to be:

You are not alone. You have a God that loves you and wants to help you, and you have support around you, whether it be actual family, a pregnancy resource center or a trusted mentor. You are loved and please do not believe for one second that you are damaged goods. This situation does not define who you are or what you are capable of becoming. Believe in yourself and know that you have within you what you need to love and care for this baby. I remember being where you are — scared, unsure, trying to figure out what life would look like moving forward. But looking back, I see how God was already working, even when I couldn’t see it yet.

Don’t give in to fear—it will rob you of hope. This journey won’t be easy or perfect, but believing in yourself, trusting God, and leaning on your support systems will help you rise above the hardest moments.

God will use your motherhood, if you let Him. He will use it and refine you in ways you never imagined. Your child will teach you as much as you teach them. You will find that you need each other.

You are brave. You don’t need to carry the weight of shame around with you. This story will not ruin you- but if you let it, it can shape you into someone stronger and softer all at once. God will see every sleepless night, every hard decision you make with your baby’s best interest in mind.

There will come a day when you look back and realize you made it through things you once thought you couldn’t. You’ll see how every hard season taught you something about love, faith, and resilience. You’ll see how God used every moment — even the messy ones — to write a story worth telling

You are stronger than you think. You are not disqualified. This baby is not the end of your story — it’s a beautiful beginning.

Motherhood is such a beautiful gift, even when it comes in unexpected ways ❤️

This has been my story — one of grace, growth, and the goodness of God. And my hope is that as you walk your own path, you’ll see His hand in every part of it too.
